About the material: Raffia fibers are a wonderful natural resource derived from palm leaves. The Raffia used by Rice is sourced directly from Madagascar, where every product is made with care and dedication. Production takes place in two mountain villages, supporting improved livelihoods and strengthening local communities—benefiting over 300 families on the Red Island. Because Raffia is a natural material and each kurv is handmade, variations in color, shape, and size are to be expected and celebrated. Prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause colors to fade. Keep your kurv dry, as contact with water may lead to color transfer.
