Beautiful, handcrafted basket in pink with cherry embroidery – a true classic! Perfect for storing both small and large everyday items… everything from books and papers to candles and napkins. Besides being both charming and practical, it is also handmade from raffia. This means no two products are identical, which we believe adds to its charm.

The color will fade slightly over time, and even faster if the product is placed in direct sunlight. It’s also best to avoid contact with water, as the color may bleed. Approximate dimensions: L20 x W20 x H20 cm.

All RICE baskets are handcrafted from Raffia, which naturally varies in color, and this variation is reflected in the dyeing process; sometimes the dyeing is light, other times more intense. This means that no two baskets are completely alike. The same goes for the shape; there can be slight differences. We consider this part of the charm, showing the handmade nature of the product. If you order multiple baskets at once, we’ll send the ones closest in hue and shape. Unfortunately, we can’t provide photos of the various variants.

About the material: Raffia fibers are a fantastic natural material, derived from palm leaves, and RICE’s raffia comes from Madagascar. All raffia products are made with heart – they are produced in two villages in the mountains of Madagascar, where production contributes to better resources for the village residents. The production supports more than 300 families on the Red Island. Since raffia is a natural material and the baskets are handcrafted, each product will slightly vary in color, form, and size. Colors will fade if the product is exposed to constant sunlight. Avoid water, as it can cause the color to bleed.
